BASEBALL
Dream BIG Baseball Camp will be under the excellent leadership of Geno Espineli.
Geno Espineli came to Denver, by way of Texas, in 2011 after an eight-year Major (and Minor) League Baseball career. Growing up in a single-parent household, Geno sought guidance, mentoring and discipline through the game of baseball. He realized that his coaches were his biggest influences throughout his career and found his calling in coaching and private instruction. During Geno’s high school, collegiate and professional playing days, he helped run numerous day camps and enjoyed teaching baseball techniques to players of all skill levels and ages.
Geno attended the University of Texas and Texas Christian University before graduating with a degree in Sport Industry Operations from Metro State University. He is now a carer firefighter/paramedic in the City of Lakewood, and he enjoys spending his days off outdoors with his wife and two daughters.
Each and every child will get the proper attention and instruction so that they can improve and have tons of fun at camp!

During his first season, 2021-22, Flageolle led the Buffaloes to a regional playoff victory. The team had a powerful offense which featured the second leading scorer in the state of Colorado. Prior to this, Coach Flageolle spent 8 years as an assistant coach at Denver’s East HS, 2013-14 5A state champs, before taking the Machebeuf job.

BOY’S LACROSSE
Dream BIG Day Camp is excited to welcome back Karl Wimer to the helm of Boys Lacrosse this summer. Karl is a long time lacrosse coach with a focus on developing kids in all aspects of their lives.
Karl played high school lacrosse in Colorado, winning a State Championship with Cherry Creek, where he was All-America and the first winner of the Doc Stabler Award (top scholar/lacrosse player in the state). Karl graduated from Yale University where he was All-America on the 2nd ranked team in the country, and also lettered in football. Upon graduation, Karl spent a year in Manchester, England, coaching and developing lacrosse. From 1992-94, Karl helped develop field lacrosse in the Czech Republic, and coached the national team in their first World Championship in 1994.
Since then, Karl has coached and played in various countries around the world, and all over the US, from youth to high school to club levels. Karl was also involved in the early development of the CityLax lacrosse Club in Denver and continues to work in inner-city lacrosse development. His youth club teams (he has coached hundreds of kids pre-K through 8th grade) consistently finish in the top two of the highest divisions. His favorite challenge is working with athletes from other sports and providing them the tools and direction to be successful in lacrosse.
In addition to being an accomplished executive marketer and award winning cartoonist, Karl has a real soft spot for mint chocolate chip ice cream, The Princess Bride, and hitting the bumps in knee-deep powder. He is a father to his 19 year old son who shares his passions. Come out and learn from one of the best.

SOCCER
We are very excited that Ed Callaghan is heading the Dream BIG Soccer Camp. Again! Ed brings a wealth of experience with him and has run week long soccer camps in Denver for several years (he actually coached Mary’s own children!)
He has a wonderful way with children and instills a real love for the game of soccer. Ed and his coaches, who primarily hail from the UK, make sure the youngsters have a great time while improving their skills dramatically.
Ed has coached more than 5,000 children through his soccer camps which he has run for more than 20 years throughout the US. Ed won two national championships while in college and played semi-professionally in England. He was most recently the Director of Coaching for the Arizona Soccer Club as he lives with his wife and three children just outside of Phoenix. Ed is an avid mountain biker and hiker. He loves curry in his food, watching Shawshank Redemption and his favorite Superhero is Superman-for obvious reasons of course, he’s SUPER! Come enjoy a fun week filled with Ed and his merry men at soccer camp.
