reasons to join us this summer
Denver Jewish Day School Location
When it comes to kids camps in Denver, we want you to Dream Big! Summer is all about making memories, having fun and meeting new friends but…
… at Dream Big we think it’s much bigger than that! We want to help your child develop new skills and really learn what it means to conquer fears and try new things. We want you and your child to Dream Big as we help them with self confidence, teamwork, and social skills while they have the best summer ever!
4 Core Program Areas Offered at All Campuses
|1) Team sports
We encourage personal growth in each child by providing an excellent program facilitated by nurturing and highly trained staff.
Celebrating our 17th summer, Dream BIG Day Camp, Denver’s premier camping experience, is offering programing for children 4-17 years olds.
Dream BIG Day Camp offers a wide array of activities so campers get broad exposure to many areas and get to try new things in a safe and supportive environment.
Anchored in this safe and supportive community, each camper will have fun, acquire new skills, feel valued for who they are and develop a sense of belonging.
We recognize children for trying hard and doing nice things for others. Enjoy the same rich philosophy and creative structure in our weekly Tripping Camp too.
EVERYBODY LOVES FUZZIES!
The camp gathers together as a community EVERY morning and afternoon to sing, acknowledge birthdays, celebrate lost teeth and just be generally goofy together! We use that time to hand out “Fuzzies” to those who have either tried hard or done something kind for another person that day. The “Fuzzies” are the cornerstone of the camp’s ethos. Our goal is for ALL campers and staff to feel valued based on their inner qualities and thus feel a sense of inclusion and connectedness.
WHAT WE DO IN A DAY
The philosophy behind the program at Dream BIG Day Camp is to offer a wide array of activities so campers get broad exposure to many areas and get to try new things in a safe and supportive environment.
The mantra here is: It must be safe! It must be fun! Every camper must be engaged!
We find that when campers are presented with something in a comfortable, fun and non-threatening manner they tend to enjoy it more. The icing on the cake is that they tend to excel when they feel comfortable. The instructors on the Dream BIG staff are people who are passionate and highly skilled in their areas of expertise, and just as importantly, they know how to communicate and motivate children.
The program here is designed so that children cannot only co-exist but truly thrive regardless of their personal interests. Campers can try new things and still enjoy those areas in which they have a greater level of interest.
Many families with multiple children discover that their children may have different areas of interest. No one area is “pushed” more than another area. They are all weighed equally at Dream BIG and presented with the same amount of emphasis, expertise and enthusiasm. It simply would not be camp if there were no special events, unannounced guests, surprise happenings, spontaneously funny moments and other bits of magic thrown into the pot. This is all highly classified at this time so come join us if you want to check it out!
