BASKETBALL, LACROSSE AND SOCCER
We are excited to announce that we are offering 5 days of outstanding instruction in Basketball, Lacrosse and Soccer.
AGES:
Basketball is open to boys and girls ages 7 -12.
Lacrosse is open to boys only ages 7-10.
Soccer is open to boys and girls ages 5-10.
LOCATIONS, DATES AND TIMES:
Basketball and Soccer are located at the Steck-Hill Campus at 4th Avenue and Bellaire Street.
Lacrosse is located at Cramner Park at 3rd Avenue and Bellaire Street.
All camps run from Monday, August 9th – Friday, August 13th from 9am-12pm.
COST:
All camps cost $210.
BASKETBALL CAMP
We are thrilled that David Carey will, once again, be running the Dream BIG Basketball Camp! David is the Head Coach at Montbello High School. David worked at Dream BIG in 2008 and 2009 during the summer and has great pedigree as his father, Rudy Carey, has been the Head Coach at East High School for many years. David played for his father and then went onto become an All Conference player at Regis University where he played for Lonnie Porter, who has more wins than any other coach in Colorado basketball history.In only his second year coaching Montbello, David’s team won a city championship! He has extensive background teaching kids the game of basketball.
Montbello has had another oustanding year being ranked one of the top teams in the Colorado. They are currently 22-2 and battling hard in the citywide playoffs! Another coach will be Brooke Reves who is currently playing basketball professionally overseas.
We will be visited again by Nugget Head Coach George Karl and one of his players. In 2009 Anthony Carter challenged all the campers to a game of knockout!
LACROSSE CAMP
We are thrilled to introduce Dream BIG Lacrosse which will be in the very capable hands of Don Gifford. Don has a terrific rapport with children and is somewhat of a pied piper at St. Anne’s where he has served as both lacrosse coach and teacher for 17 years. Don also coached at Littleton High School and Heritage High School. Prior to that Don coached on the east coast at Fairfield University, Greenwich Country Day School, Fairfield Country Day School and New Canaan Country Day School. Campers must bring all gear including helmet, shoulder pads, gloves, elbow pads and stick.
We will be visited by a player from both the Colorado Mammoth and Denver Outlaws.
SOCCER CAMP
We are very excited that Ed Callaghan is heading the Dream BIG Soccer Camp again! Ed brings a wealth of experience with him and has run week long soccer camps in Denver for several years (that’s how we met him as he coached our own children!). He has a wonderful way with children and instills a real love for the game of soccer. Ed and his coaches, who primarily hail from the UK, make sure the youngsters have a great time while improving their skills dramatically.
Ed has coached more than 5,000 children through his soccer camps which he has run for more than 15 years throughout the US. Ed won two national championships while in college and played semi-professionally in England. He was most recently the Director of Coaching for the Arizona Soccer Club as he lives with his wife and three children just outside of Phoenix.
We will also be visited by a player from the Colorado Rapids.
